Corona Virus Update, Thursday April 2nd
Hello Dance Family. We hope you all are safe and getting through this challenging time as best as can be expected. Families have begun to ask what the plan is moving forward for classes. As we know, this stay at home order will last through April and could extend making dance lessons challenging. This is something dance communities in Washington and across the Country are dealing with today. In my 33 years of keeping the doors open I have never had to deal with a situation like this. I am not a big company with lots of staff to help guide me through this. So please be patient as I try to keep everyone dancing and adapt to the challenges that lie ahead.
We have missed three lessons as of this week, so today we are working on ways to deliver classes online. Our intention is to start offering classes next week via Zoom, as well as record classes so that we can distribute lessons to families which may not have access to the stream. Our goal is to offer two classes per week for 3 weeks to get caught up on missed lessons. If you do not have internet access, we can offer lesson video's on a thumb drive for you to plug into your computer or smart TV.
In regards to the end of season recital, we are still on schedule for Saturday June 13th. As we get farther along in the Pandemic time line we will keep you posted as we know more.
I want to thank my dance families for supporting me throughout the years. I have given 33 years of my life to Dancers Unlimited and I have no intention of letting this situation end our studio now. We will adapt to the situation at hand and keep dancing. With our children challenged every day to stay busy, dance lessons will be a slice of normal they look forward to every week. However, we can not keep the actual and now virtual doors open without your support. For some, these are challenging times financially. We understand and are willing to work with you. But it is also challenging times for Dancers Unlimited. Your tuition payment is what keeps the studio up and running. For 33 years we have provided local families with dance lessons for our youth, and with your support we will make it to season 34.
With much Love,
Dance Changes Everything!
The Full Story
In July 1987 I opened the doors of Dancers Unlimited. I can remember all of my music was on 45's (records) and a few cassettes. Just me, a turntable and some mirrors I got from a closed down barber shop, lol. I had no idea that 33 years later my dream would still be alive and thriving.
Don't be afraid to dream, just go out and make it happen. It's not always easy, but go out and do what you love💕
Happy Anniversary to you Dancers Unlimited!
