Hello Dancers Unlimited Dancers and Families
We have really missed seeing all of your happy smiles since the stay-at-home order began! Based on the the circumstances we are all challenged with, the studio has been faced with some difficult decisions about how to move forward in a way that benefits the dancers, their families, and Dancers Unlimited. I am pleased to announce that we have developed an amazing plan that will allow our students to showcase their talents and all the work they put in throughout the 2019-2020 season!
Here's the 5-step plan:
1. Classes for the rest of the 2019-20 season are cancelled (Don't worry, the news gets better!)
NOTE: If your dancer has been participating in Zoom lessons for a solo or duo class, we will continue these through the week of June 8th, which would be the normal end of the season. For most of you, this is approximatley 4 more lessons. You will also receive the additional lessons from September through December (see #4 below).
2. Summer dance is still scheduled for August 3rd - 7th
3. The 2020-21 season will begin at the regular time in September
You will register your dancers, as usual, beginning in the summer. More specific details about registration will be sent out in the near future. Upon registration, you will be assigned weekly class times, like always. We will update you if any changes occur.
4. To complete the 2019-20 season, we will hold additional classes beginning in September and going through November
We are looking at having classes probably on Mondays and Fridays. During these additional classes, students will review, and then complete, the dances they had been learning in preparation for the 2020 recital. As Dancers Unlimited's gift to you, these extra classes will be provided AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE so you will only pay for your new, 2020-21 classes.
5. Now for the really cool part! We have scheduled our full 2020 recital at the 7th Street Theatre on December 12th, 2020!
We believe this is the best solution for all our dancers as their efforts and your investment will be rewarded with their time in the spotlight. Dress rehearsal, as always, will occur on the Sunday before recital, which will be December 6th. This new schedule should also allow time for our costumes to arrive. (Dance costume companies and their factories have been closed as well so there are delays). In addition, fingers crossed, we will be able to add a fun, all-class, holiday routine to the program!
As you know, we have tried, in good faith, to post instruction videos for your dancers, as well as employing other virtual learning opportunities. We know, however, this has proven difficult for many parents and dancers for a variety of reasons. We want to thank those few families who have paid tuition during this challenging period. Dancers Unlimited has been on the edge of closing its doors for the first time in our 33-year history. Many dance studios across our State and the Country have been forced to stop the music for good. It has been heart breaking to witness, but we are not giving up.
If you have any questions about the 5-step plan, please message us.
We can't wait to dance with you again!

Dance Changes Everything!
In July 1987 I opened the doors of Dancers Unlimited. I can remember all of my music was on 45's (records) and a few cassettes. Just me, a turntable and some mirrors I got from a closed down barber shop, lol. I had no idea that 34 years later my dream would still be alive and thriving.
Don't be afraid to dream, just go out and make it happen. It's not always easy, but go out and do what you love💕
Happy Anniversary to you Dancers Unlimited!
